IAEM and DRIP sign a Memorandum of Understanding 7th September 2011

On 7th September a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between IAEM and DRIP. Photos from the signing ceremony are reproduced below.

DRIP (Disaster Relief by Irish & Pakistanis)is a registered charity, set up in the aftermath of the catastrophic earthquake in Pakistan on 8th October 2005, which seeks to improve medical care provided to victims of disasters. It has already made significant strides in improving pre-hospital care in Pakistan and through a partnership with IAEM, the intention would be to develop and improve Emergency Medicine in Pakistan which is currently in its infancy. The training body for EM in Ireland, the Irish Committee for Emergency Medicine Training (ICEMT), has a close relationship with IAEM and will be the vehicle fot this development.
