IAEM Website Policy
The Irish Association for Emergency Medicine has two websites in use, namely www.iaem.ie and www.emergencymedicine.ie. The website policy applies to both sites.
Mission Statement
The purpose of this web site is to facilitate the objectives of the Irish Association for Emergency Medicine, including:

To promote high standards in the diagnosis and management of acute and urgent aspects of illness and injury affecting patients of all age groups with a full spectrum of undifferentiated physical and behavioural disorders.

To support and encourage research so that standards are kept under review and improved.

The site will serve as an information portal for members and the public alike.

The site must not contain patient identifiable information.

Patient images must not be used without the written consent of the patient.

Contact details of members, users or contributors should not be made available to non- registered users of the site without their express permission.

- Material that may reasonably be considered abusive, indecent, offensive, defamatory or discriminatory is not allowed.
- The site should not contain personal content or commercially sensitive material.This website contains links to other sites.
- This does not necessarily mean that IAEM endorses these sites. IAEM cannot be held responsible for the content of these sites.
